Jess and Byron chose to get married at Orchards in the Midlands, with its romantic, elegant charm and picturesque surrounds was the perfect venue to bring Jess and Byron’s cosy country wedding desires to life. They were blessed with the most glorious warm winter’s day which boasted a spectacular afternoon sunset and warm glowing fires to huddle around as the evening drew in.
The Farmer’s Daughter was in charge of the catering which was utterly out of this world scrumptious. Jen (the farmer’s daughter herself) is Jess’ sister and she and her team didn’t leave a single tastebud unturned. There was an array of sweet and savoury eats to welcome the guests as they exited the chapel and dinner was a delicious home-style spread of tasty meats, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a variety of salads along with a dessert spread of NOTE.. ice cream and sweetie toppings along with a coffee and hot chocolate bar and the famous Farmer’s Daughter fudge to top it all off!
Jess’ sister Jo and Tinks from Corrie Lynn Farm handled all the flowers & decor and everything from the bouquets’ to the venue was beautifully and artfully designed and decorated which added an extra special and meaningful touch to Jess and Byron’s wedding celebration.
On the morning and everyone was buzzing with excitement and while sitting at the dresser getting ready, Jess turned around at one point and said “I just can’t wait to marry the crap out of Byron!” Her bridesmaids laughed and someone chirped “only you Jess!” Jess’ dress was made for her by Oh Huntress – it fitted her style, personality and body like a glove and couldn’t have been more ‘her’. It’s also worth mentioning that Jess’ niece and nephews almost stole the show as Jess couldn’t get enough of their cute outfits, excited faces and sweet rosy cheeks – even my camera kept gravitating towards them and their precious sweet little expressions.
Jess and Byron were absolutely glowing the entire day and Byron’s face when Jess entered the chapel on the arm of her Dad, was a mixture of utter overwhelm, adoration and pure awe for this was the moment he’d long been waiting for… the moment when he woman who he’d been praying for and the one God had been keeping for him, was about to become his wife. Needless to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
It’s safe to say that the Long’s pulled together and handled almost every aspect of the service provider from Food, Flowers and Photography and related or not – it felt like a truly memorable “family” affair!
It was a spectacular day and I wish you a truly wonderful marriage friends.
